Health And Safety Manager

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health and Safety Lead to help us ensure that every member of our team goes home safe, every day.

This role is about more than meeting compliance requirements, it is about championing a global safety mindset where our people feel protected, supported, and able to thrive.

You will work closely with teams across our North Island operations, with regular visits to our apiaries and an annual visit to our Olive Leaf operations in Queensland, Australia. Your presence and hands-on connection will make safety and wellbeing a lived experience, not just a policy.

As our Health & Safety Lead, you will :

• Design, deliver and continuously improve Comvita’s global health, safety, and wellbeing strategy.
• Partner with leaders and teams to embed safe practices into daily operations.
• Provide coaching, training, and expert advice to build safety capability across the business.
• Use data-driven insights to identify risks, guide decision-making, and continuously improve outcomes.
• Champion initiatives that strengthen resilience, connection, and care for our people.
• Inspire innovation and fresh thinking in how we keep our people safe and well.

The role reports directly to senior leadership. Given our operational footprint, the role isrequired to be based in the Bay of Plenty.
