Due to a recent exciting internal movement, we are now looking for an
Assistant Venue Manager
with a passion for both the Speight's brand and its history to join the team at the spiritual home of Speight's in Dunedin, this is a Permanent Full Time Position.
The Speight's Heritage Centre is the home of an award-winning Brewery Tour, Cellar Door and Shop.
And this is your chance to take on a challenging and rewarding role, with plenty of opportunities for growth.
The Speight's Heritage Centre, located in the Speight's Brewery, is the spiritual home of New Zealand's biggest beer brand, attracting over 10,000 visitors per year to experience the "Pride of the South"; and is one of Dunedin's most popular tourist attractions.
As Assistant Venue Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the team exceed the expectations of visitors to this iconic site.
Responsibilities
Managing a team of up to 10 Tour Guides
Stakeholder relationship management
Event management
Cash-handling and banking
Reservations
Rostering and payroll
Stock ordering and inventory control (including the e-commerce site)
Qualifications
Passion for the Speight's brand and Dunedin
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (Tourism / Hospitality / Retail)
Retail and / or merchandising experience
Exceptional customer service skills
Duty Manager's Licence (preferred not essential)
Experience in stock management and control – including stock takes
Flexibility in hours of work (this position may include weekend work)
