Housed in the state-of-the-art, architecturally designed Sir Owen G Glenn Building, our top-ranked, triple-crown accredited University of Auckland Business School is seeking to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour to join its world-class faculty. It is the largest business school in New Zealand and has an international reputation for academic excellence. The Business School comprises seven academic departments with a strong reputation across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. This position is located in the Department of Management and International Business. The University has recently set a new strategic plan, which can be interpreted from te reo Māori as pursuing excellence, despite uncertainty. It recognises the exciting challenges posed by the concerns of our age. The School enjoys excellent international links and leading scholars from overseas universities often visit it for research and / or teaching purposes.
Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The Department of Management and International Business wishes to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer who will play a key role in the teaching and research of Organisational Behaviour. They will join the Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour disciplinary area within the department, which has a team of scholars producing research of high impact and contributing to the School’s high-quality educational and engagement programmes.
The salary range for this role is $91,328 - $133,386 and will be dependent on experience.

Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team
The Department of Management and International Business, one of seven departments within the Faculty of Business and Economics, is ranked highly amongst other management departments in New Zealand. The teaching programme is strong and innovative and the quality of teaching, as judged by student evaluations and by peer review, is very high. The academics in the Department of Management and International Business have an excellent publication record and are publishing their work in the very best journals in their field. Their research is organised in five disciplinary areas : 1) Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour 2) Critical, Māori and Pacific Island Organisation Studies 3) International Business 4) Strategy and Innovation and 5) Entrepreneurship. The Department offers a full suite of degree programmes, including contributing to undergraduate core courses, undergraduate majors in Management, International Business, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Honours, Masters and PhD programmes. The Department also contributes to the Master of Business Administration, the Master of Business Management, the Master of Business Development and the PGDertLDGov in the Graduate School of Management.
