About Long Bay College

Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1900 students with 160 teaching and support staff combined.

Role description

We are seeking a creative and innovative visual arts teacher to join our well-resourced, supportive, and collaborative visual arts faculty team. Our visual arts programmes include art, digital art, design, painting, photography and art history. In all programmes we place a strong emphasis on high academic achievement, secured by strong collective practice and cognitive science considerate pedagogy.

Our ideal candidate should be committed to academic excellence and have a passion for visual arts education. Photography expertise would be an advantage but please state your visual arts subject specialist strengths. A commitment to our culture of care, and a desire to contribute to the academic and co-curricular success of our ākonga is essential.

Salary and conditions

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers\' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant's qualifications and experience. An individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
