Long Bay College is a co-educational secondary school located in a peaceful location near Long Bay Beach and the new Long Bay Village. The school opened in 1975 and has approximately 1900 students with 160 teaching and support staff combined.

We are seeking a creative and innovative Visual Arts teacher to join our well-resourced, supportive, and collaborative Visual Arts Faculty team. Our Visual Arts programmes include Art, Digital Art, Design, Painting, Photography and Art History. In all programmes we place a strong emphasis on high academic achievement, secured by strong collective practice and cognitive science considerate pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Teach Visual Arts across the programmes including Art, Digital Art, Design, Painting, Photography and Art History.
• Collaborate with the Visual Arts Faculty to support high academic achievement and strong collective practice.
• Contribute to a culture of care and the academic and co-curricular success of ākonga.
• Apply cognitive science considerate pedagogy to teaching practices.

Qualifications

Salary and conditions

The terms and conditions, including base salary and hours of work, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers\' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant\'s qualifications and experience. An individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
