Job Description

Macraes Open Pit Maintenance Workshop is seeking a yard person. This role involves carrying out general upkeep of the workshop and surrounding areas, assisting workshop and store personnel with inwards and outwards goods, and general housekeeping duties. The roster is 5 on / 2 off / 4 on / 3 off, day shift only.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Maintenance and general upkeep of workshop and store facilities, including remote facilities.
• Completing weekly‑monthly compliance tasks.
• General housekeeping and dust removal.
• Carrying out upgrades, installing new services and equipment (minor works).
• Completing projects.
• General yard duties : rubbish removal, weed spraying, signage repairs and replacement.
• Following all SOPs and participating in the development and review of procedures.
