About the role

Our client

is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team in Invercargill Central Southland.

This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects, adding to the profitability and success of the company.

What you'll be doing

Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical projects.

Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information

Accurately calculating material, labour, and overhead costs for electrical projects

Preparing and submitting formal proposals and tenders within specified deadlines

Negotiating project terms and conditions with clients

Monitoring project costs and identifying potential risks or opportunities for savings

What we're looking for

Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in a similar role

Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and automation control systems, materials, and installation processes

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with clients

Proven track record of submitting successful tenders and maintaining project profitability

Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and tools
