Description

Golden Times Welding Services based in Auckland, specialises in the fabrication and welding of aluminium, stainless steel, copper, and structural steel. We are looking for three Fitter-Welders to join our awesome team.

You will be expected to work at different sites throughout the Auckland region, a minimum of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to perform on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $29.00-$34.00 based on the candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

Fit and assemble fabricated metal parts into products, subassemblies, and structures to produce machines, equipment, or frameworks.

Perform accurate welding and fabrication of structural steel and other metal components, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment (such as MIG, TIG, or ARC welding machines) to complete required assemblies and repairs.

Inspect and verify fabricated and assembled components for accuracy, alignment, clearance, and fit using precision measuring tools.

Ensure all work meets technical specifications and quality standards, maintaining attention to detail and precision throughout the fabrication process.

Collaborate with team members and director to ensure project timelines and quality objectives are met.

Comply with workplace health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork, contributing positively to the company culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants :

At least two years of relevant experience in structural steel welding and / or fabrication

Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.

Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role

Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.

A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.

Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
