This is a permanent full-time role with 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
Pay rate starts from $30 per hour ranging to $35 per hour depending on skills and experience.
Tig / Mig Welder Job Description
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Set up and operate Tig and Mig welding equipment, including selecting appropriate settings and materials.
- Perform welding tasks using Tig and Mig processes to join metal components accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production goals and project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.
- Assist in other fabrication tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements for the role :
Minimum 2 years of proven work experience in welding or fabrication industry.Knowledge of Stainless steel TIG and MIG weldingMild Steel TIG and MIG weldingCut and Form Sheetmetal componentsProficiency in Tig and Mig welding processes, techniques, and equipment.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Strong attention to detail and precision to produce high quality welds.Knowledge of various metals and materials commonly used in welding. Excellent hand- eye coordination and manual dexterity.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.Certification in welding techniques (e.g., Welding Tickets) is a plus.Commitment to safety practices and procedures.Full-time permanent role with a stable company. Hours of work between Monday – Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, plus overtime when required
