About the role

The Financial Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting and compliance. You’ll work alongside the Group Financial Controller to deliver statutory accounts, support tax compliance, and maintain strong financial processes and systems.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing draft statutory accounts, audit papers, and accurate disclosures for assigned entities.
• Managing the general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• Preparing tax returns and compliance reports, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Upholding and improving the financial control environment and cashflow management.
• Mentoring and supporting the Accounts team, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
• External compliance reporting.

This is a role where your skills will directly contribute to the sustainability and prosperity of Ngāti Toa.
