Job description

Our client is a well-known leader in software development across a range of sectors, including health. After 10 years in the role, the incumbent is moving on, leaving a sought-after vacancy for someone new.

Based in College Hill, central Auckland, you will be part of the sales team, solely responsible for the health division. Whilst you will have other sales colleagues working in different divisions of the company, you need to be able to work autonomously, yet enjoy being part of a wider sales team.

This progressive software system enables your clients to share accurate information with their healthcare communities, partners and organisations, streamlining their processes and allowing access to product information databases

What will you do?

  • You will be working closely with organisations nationally who supply pharma, medical devices and medical consumables to organisations such as Te Whatu Ora / Health NZ and Southern Cross and many others.
  • Build great relationships with both existing and new clients, selling a software platform to healthcare organisations, providers of medical devices and consumables.
  • Manage a combination of existing clients as well as new business development.
  • Deal with clinical staff and management, using your clinical understanding of the healthcare sector.
  • Manage your own time- out and about visiting clients, back in the office booking appointments, liaising with your project implementation and IT teams, to provide support to your new clients in their set-up.
  • Travel from time to time outside the Auckland region (quarterly?)

What do you need?

  • Ideally a healthcare qualification and previous healthcare / clinical experience in New Zealand (3 years+) OR healthcare management experience.
  • Sales / relationship management experience at a senior level, ideally in the heath sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
  • Professionalism, energy, commitment & ability to work as part of a team.
  • A reasonable understanding of & ability in IT would serve you well as you explain the system to new clients.
  • A full, clean driver's licence and ability to travel from time to time.
