Would you like to be part of a friendly, supportive and collaborative team? Eltham Primary School is excited to advertise for a full-time, permanent teacher to join our wonderful kura. We are a great bunch of people, fun to work with, and deeply committed to caring for our tamariki.

We are seeking an energetic, vibrant teacher who is a positive team player with a great sense of humour. Applicants with experience in PB4L, who can meaningfully incorporate te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into their everyday practice, and who will embrace and positively role model our school values are strongly desired.

We warmly welcome applications from beginning teachers , as we have excellent mentor teachers who will provide guidance and support. The class level will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

There is the possibility of the right candidate being recognised through the allocation of responsibility and / or management units .

Requirements

• New Zealand registered teacher with a current practising certificate (Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand).
• Appointment is subject to a satisfactory police vet under the Education and Training Act 2020 and the Children’s Act 2014.
• Commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of tamariki at all times.
• Commences 28 January 2026 .
