Grow your career, playing a key role in the delivery of strategic Transport Engineering, Planning and Safety projects.

This role provides the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic projects that enhance the safety and operations of transport networks across Auckland and beyond.

You will be joining a nation-wide team of over 80 transport planners, engineers, traffic modellers and technical experts dedicated to improving the safety and efficiency of our transport networks.

You will be supporting the delivery of diverse projects, including traffic engineering, safety programmes, and network maintenance that make a community impact by improving transport safety and operations.

You will also work in a collaborative environment with local and national clients such as Auckland Transport, Auckland Council and Waka Kotahi.

From this role, you will gain access to professional development opportunities and mentorship from leading experts in the transport engineering, safety and planning fields.

Responsibilities

Support delivery of diverse transport projects such as traffic engineering, safety programmes, and network maintenance.

Analyse data and produce technical reports for transport planning and safety improvement.

Collaborate with local and national stakeholders to guide discussions and enable project delivery.

Apply modelling tools and techniques to support project needs.

Qualifications

Strong data analysis, analytical and mathematical skills.

Proficiency in scripting (Python) and Excel, and GIS.

In-depth experience with at least two transport modelling software such as Cube, Emme, Aimsun, Saturn or SIDRA.

Transport planning, project management, technical report writing and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
