Assistant Lead Engineer - Informatica (Software Development)

The potential candidate will be a key contributor to the AWS Cloud migration project, responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing applications for the cloud environment. using Java technologies, ETL tools such as Informatica, data warehousing concepts and expertise in AWS Cloud services will be crucial in ensuring the success of our transformative project.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions for applications migrating to the AWS Cloud platform
- Design and develop robust and scalable applications using modern development languages and frameworks
- Design and implement RESTful or SOAP based APIs to integrate with systems and communicate with different platforms
- Design and develop ETL processes to extract data from various sources (e.g., databases, flat files, APIs), transform as per business requirements and load it into data warehouse or other data storage systems
- Integrate data from multiple heterogeneous sources and ensure it is transformed and loaded correctly into the target system, maintaining data quality and integrity
- Write complex SQL queries and use transform logic to clean, aggregate, and transform data as per business requirements
- Ensure ETL processes are optimized for performance, scalability and reliability
- Implement data validation rules and perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
- Troubleshooting and resolve issues related to data integration, loading failures, and performance bottlenecks in the ETL process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement effective integration strategies
- Work closely with the migration team to execute the migration of applications to the AWS Cloud
- Optimize applications for cloud-native architecture and leverage AWS services for enhanced functionality
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in applications, ensuring optimal performance in the cloud environment
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality, performance, and data accuracy
- Provide documentation for troubleshooting and support purposes
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalentExpertise in using Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC tools for data integration and ETL processesKnowledge of Informatica Designer, Workflow Manager, and Repository ManagerExperience with creating and managing ETL mappings, sessions, and workflowsProficiency in designing and developing data transformationsStrong SQL skills for database querying and manipulationUnderstanding of relational database concepts and performance tuning. And also familiarity with data warehousing concepts, star schema, snowflake schema, and data marts.Ability to optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiencyExperience in Java development (Java 8 and above, J2EE, EJB, Spring Framework, etc.,)Knowledge in Spring framework, specifically in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring AOP, and API integration with SOAP and RESTful webservices.Knowledge in JAXB and Java Security APIExperience with application deployment in WebLogic Server, including administration and configuration for managed servers, data sources and JMS persistence storesFamiliarity with database integration to Oracle DB and PostgreSQL using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, JDBCExperience in installing and configuration of 12c WebLogic serverExperience in deploying batch jobs in WebLogic serverKnowledge in Ehcacheknowledge in unit testing with JUnitKnowledge in building and version control with Git, Gradle, Apache AntApply Now
