You'll get the opportunity to work on exciting projects like WHOOSH®, a revolutionary transport system that challenges the status quo in the transportation industry, and Switchback, the most flexible and unique adventure ride system on the planet!
About The Role
Work collaboratively and contribute throughout the development lifecycle of our products and systems.
Ensure optimal system architecture is applied considering prior experience with readily available hardware and software algorithms.
Facilitate the process and help define appropriate mitigations and Safety Functions.
Select component sizing.
Electrical drawing architecture and implementation, either supervisory or hands-on.
Write modular and reusable code that is fit for purpose and easy to understand.
Work closely with the wider team to design and implement test equipment to validate both software and hardware sub-systems.
Lead control system commissioning and support mechanical system commissioning.
Undertake safety system testing and validation for final system sign off.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing, and hands-on role in integration testing, site installation, commissioning, and validation package collation.
Accurate and concise documentation of work where required.
The ideal person will demonstrate
Oversee the electrical and automation development of a system from initial concept state through to site commissioning and validation.
Engineer the safety control system from risk analysis to final system validation.
Use your PLC and HMI programming experience in one or more hardware platforms (Rockwell, Codesys, Siemens, Omron, etc).
Preferred confidence in electrical system design (component selection, circuit protection sizing, conductor sizing, electrical separation, etc).
Familiar with relevant electrical standards for electrical machinery and control system (i.e. AS / NZS, IEC, NFPA).
Undertake ELV electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
Experience in some higher level programming environments such as C, C++, Python, Visual Basic.
It would be beneficial if you have previously led or mentored a small team.
