Spaceplane - Product & Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

About The Role

This is a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary role within Dawn Aerospace’s Spaceplane Maintenance Team. You’ll work across product engineering, aircraft maintenance, and ground operations to keep our vehicles flight‑ready. The focus is on ensuring parts and components are efficiently manufactured, well maintained, and ready for assembly / disassembly. Alongside the Maintenance Manager, you’ll help ensure new products are supported with clear installation, removal, and servicing instructions, collaborate with design and operations teams, and get hands‑on in the workshop and hangar.

Responsibilities

• Support design teams with materials, processes, and serviceability input
• Fabricate and test parts, components, and jigs
• Fit, remove, and inspect components and assemblies
• Perform scheduled maintenance and checks
• Support ground and flight operations (fuelling, pre‑flight prep, inspections – training provided)
• Maintain workshop equipment, hangar safety, and technical documentation
