In this role

you will have the opportunity to :

  • Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including sales contracts, master services agreements, and software development and licensing agreements.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice on IP and technology matters, including in relation to AI, machine learning and data protection.
  • Identify and propose strategies to mitigate business risks while promoting the organisation’s goals and objectives.
  • Assist with and manage M&A activity undertaken by Seequent, including due diligence, contract negotiation and acquisition integration.
  • Share knowledge and expertise in key business areas, and invest in the continuous improvement of the legal team.
  • Develop and deliver training programs within the business, enhancing legal awareness and promoting best practices within the organisation.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have :

  • A law degree, with admission to the bar in a relevant jurisdiction
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience with a focus on commercial contracting, intellectual property, technology law and data protection.Though if you have less experience, but feel you would be the right fit for Seequent, we are happy to consider your application.
  • Preferably a strong understanding of legal challenges related to technology, AI, machine learning, and data usage within the software / SaaS industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships across all levels and areas of the organisation.
