About the Role
Working from our purpose built, state of the art civic facility in Central Whangarei, as Network Operations Lead, you'll take charge of the operational management and development of Whangarei's Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
From street lighting and traffic signals to mechanical bridge control systems, you'll ensure these critical networks run efficiently and meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.
You'll provide outstanding leadership to a skilled team whose responsibilities also include; Corridor Access Management and permitting Temporary Traffic Management; managing key contracts and providing subject matter expertise and technical support services to Capital Works and Asset Management teams.
What You'll Bring
If this sounds like an opportunity you'd like to explore further we're looking for applications from candidates able to demonstrate the following skills and experience :
Tertiary qualification in Engineering / Information Sciences or equivalent with at least 5 years of post-degree experience.
A good understanding of Street Lighting best practice and lighting standards and / or Traffic Signal Controllers and SCATS operations.
Understanding of NZTA Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management.
Proficiency in asset management systems, specifically : Road Asset Maintenance Management (RAMM).
Understanding of NZS
Strong leadershipskills that can empower and motivate others to effectively deliver results.
Experience in managing both CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Ability and desire to work in a way that isconsistent withour organisational tikanga.
