We are seeking a teacher for our Y4–8 class, a crucial role focused on graduating learners with the core values of kia ako : be a learner, kia kaitiaki : be a guardian, and kia manaaki : be respectful.
We seek someone who can create an inclusive, responsive and engaging learning environment and has strong behaviour management skills.
Familiarity with the iDeal approach to structured literacy would be an advantage.
However, professional development will be provided for the successful candidate.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate :
A passion for working with the middle / senior age group (Y7–8 experience is an asset).
A commitment to their own professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt.
The ability to integrate our rural context into their teaching practice.
Excellent communication skills, contributing to the desired strong, effective communication from the school.
