Southern Cross Brightside Hospital is a modern private surgical hospital located in central Auckland. The hospital was rebuilt to high‑tech specifications and reopened in 2000. It offers a wide range of surgical services to around 4,500 patients each year, with 43 in‑patient beds and a staff of nearly 100.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As Supply Chain Manager you’ll lead onsite supply chain operations across the hospital – managing product arrival, storage, movement and use in clinical areas. You’ll maintain stock accuracy, drive continuous improvement and optimise operational excellence. Key responsibilities include inventory management, new product introduction, end‑of‑life management, demand planning, and leading a high‑performing supply chain team while partnering with clinical and management staff.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain and inventory management, ideally in healthcare or a complex, multi‑site environment.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing, coaching, and managing high‑performing teams.
- Strong analytical capability – confident interpreting data, drawing insights, and communicating findings clearly.
- Proficiency using enterprise resource planning (ERP) and inventory management systems, with solid Excel and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills – able to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Tech‑savvy and adaptable, with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Calm and flexible under pressure, thriving in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics, or a related discipline (healthcare experience an advantage).
