About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Jean Sandel Retirement Village in New Plymouth as a Caregiver in our Special Care Unit.
This position will be working with our lovely residents who need an experienced and reliable person with a passion for dementia care.
We have a part-time position available working Wednesday – Sunday
Responsibilities
Oversee residents providing activities to engage them.
Follow our resident's individual care plans, providing care that would be good enough for your own mum, dad, nana or poppa and engage with our residents and develop lasting relationships with them and their families.
Use the latest technology, including our own purpose-built care app myRyman.
Take time to learn about each and every resident, their background, what makes them happy to help them enjoy life to the fullest.
About You
Dementia care experience.
Strong empathy.
Outstanding communication skills.
Kindness in your DNA.
A reliable, friendly and professional style.
Have obtained or are willing to complete the relevant unit standards (or an equivalent qualification as approved by Ryman) within 18 months of employment commencement.
