We design and build high-end gyro-stabilized airborne camera systems and augmented reality software used by cinematographers, law enforcement, military, television stations, and firefighters around the world.Job Overview : We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative R&D team, taking products from concept through to production.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with a team of design engineers to solve complex issues with creative, innovative thinking.

The role suits an engineer who is a team player, adaptable to change, and has a strong track record of ownership and delivering results.What you will need to succeedA positive attitude and proven ability to work under pressureTertiary Qualified Mechanical EngineerIdeally 10+ years experience, 5 years as a Senior EngineerAdvanced SolidWorks modelling and ability to apply best practicesExperience with FEAExperience or knowledge of CFD techniques desirableExperience with optics desirableExperience with industry standards such as DO-160G desirableExcellent communication skills with an ability to form strong relationshipsExcellent attention to detailProven ability to deliver practical and creative design solutionsHigh standard of planning and deliveryWhat you will be responsible forGenerating and understanding product specificationsProviding concept sketches / models / drawings for new products based on specificationsEnsuring products are designed for manufacture and fit for purposePlan, conduct and document testing of productsIdentify and mitigate risksConstructively peer review the design teams' workMentor and coach other engineersContinuous improvement of engineering processesThe position offers a competitive salary, health insurance, and an opportunity to live in a stunning part of New Zealand.
