Software Engineer - Growth Platform

The Growth Platform Team builds the foundation for Octopus’s product-led growth. Our mission is to create the data, systems, and infrastructure that let every team at Octopus move faster and make smarter decisions.

Octopus is scaling to reach thousands more users and customers, across multiple products and journeys. Achieving that requires new growth infrastructure : unified customer insights, experimentation systems, billing and identity platforms, and automation that removes friction throughout the customer lifecycle. That’s what we’re here to build.

As a software engineer on this team, you’ll work on high-impact systems that directly influence how customers discover, try, buy, and adopt Octopus. You’ll also grow your skills and career in an environment that values learning, collaboration, and experimentation.

This is a remote role based in Australia or New Zealand.

What you’ll do

• Build and improve shared infrastructure for billing, identity, messaging, and experimentation.
• Automate key customer lifecycle processes, from onboarding to upgrade prompts.
• Help unify signals from across Octopus into a clear view of the customer journey.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and growth specialists across the company.
• Learn from senior engineers and contribute your own ideas and improvements.

Salaries exclude Super and KiwiSaver.
