Eltham Primary School is seeking a passionate and committed teacher to join our wonderful kura in 2026. We are a dedicated and collegial staff who value teamwork, fun, and genuine care for our tamariki.

We are looking for an energetic, vibrant teacher who is a positive team player with a great sense of humour. Strengths in PB4L, the ability to meaningfully integrate te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into everyday practice, and a commitment to modelling our school values are highly regarded.

Beginning teachers are warmly encouraged to apply, as we have experienced mentor teachers who provide excellent guidance and support.

The class level(s) will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Requirements :

• New Zealand registered teacher with a current practising certificate (Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand).
• Appointment is subject to a satisfactory police vet under the Education and Training Act 2020 and the Children’s Act 2014.
• Commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of tamariki at all times.
• Commences 28 January 2026 .
