The role combines direct clinical care, expertsymptom management, consultation across specialties, and collaborative practicewith nursing, allied health, and community partners.You'llmanage a varied inpatient caseload, provide senior medical advice to cliniciansacross the hospital, support complex clinical decision-making, and work closelywith hospice and primary care teams to ensure seamless transitions for patientsbetween care settings.About the Team / Service / LocationTheHospital Palliative Care Service is a highly skilled multidisciplinary teambased at Wellington Regional Hospital, with outreach to Kenepuru Hospital.
Theteam consists of SMOs, CNSs, RMO and NP colleagues.
We work closely withhospital teams, primary care, community providers, and hospices to ensureequitable, patient-centred palliative care.

We operate three hospitals 'Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown,Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital inPorirua ' as well as theKapiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.Vocationally registered in Internal Medicine (Palliative Medicine)with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZWork in collaboration with multidisciplinary teamBroad experience in hospital and / or hospice-based palliative careWorking for Health New Zealand| Te Whatu OraHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
