Fluid Recruitment working alongside a multidisciplinary consultancy firm that provides land development services across the country.
With 3 offices across the South Island, they are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Christchurch team.
They will be hitting the ground running working on a mixture of high end residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.
With a flat organisation structure there's clear progression through the company for motivated engineers.

The successful candidate will immediately be given responsibility over important projects locally while assisting other senior staff on larger out of region developments.
You will have
A recognized degree in Civil Engineering.
At least 5 years of New Zealand Land Development experience
Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Approaching or on track to becoming a Chartered Professional (CPEng)
Demonstrated track record as a Civil Engineer, with a combination of design & site-based experience.
Extensive expertise in civil engineering principles, codes, and standards.
Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D in particular.
Experience with contract management and tendering claims.
Exceptional analytical skills, adept at problem-solving and decision-making.
The role
As an Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the engineering team, contributing to the successful execution of a wide range of civil engineering projects.
You will work on projects spanning from residential subdivisions to complex industrial projects working on exciting projects from conception till completion collaborating with a talented and supportive team of professionals.
Based in the Christchurch office, which consists of a team of approximately 10 staff.

Actively participating in the ongoing advancement of projects nationwide.

Lead and manage smaller, local projects while also assisting on larger out of region work

Key responsibilities
Utilise AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce design calculations, drawings, and designs.
Maintain regular communication with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or queries.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, address issues, and provide technical support as needed.
Utilizing cutting-edge software and tools to create detailed designs and models
Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to foster positive relationships and ensure project success.
