Job descriptionTeam Leader , the purpose of this role is to make a strong contribution to a high performing Production team and team culture within Baking, while performing the duties of preparing ingredients, baking and packaging bread and small-goods products to the standards required Shift patterns available : Day shift Wednesday 7.00am - 2.15pm Thursday 7.00am - 7.15pm Friday 7.00am - 7.15pm Saturday 7.00am - 7.15pm Night Shift Tuesday 12.00am - 7.00amm Wednesday 7.00pm - 7.15am Thursday 7.00pm - 7.15am Friday 7.00pm - 7.15am Pay rate starts at $26.91 per hour (For night shift role there is a night shift allowance) Key accountabilities of the role include : Understand the ingredients used in the baking process to be able to make adjustments to batches to provide quality and consistency Learn to understand and master the whole production line making the difference between good and great Work for an essential food services industry producing key products for your community Participate in developing and mentoring others completing baking qualifications Make an active contribution to the team environment through sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to help build team performance Adhering to food safety procedures and company policies Ensuring machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted manner Meeting deadlines in a busy work environment About You To be successful in this role you will need : Experience in plant baking using automated equipment is desireable Manufacturing / machine operation experience Strong Numerical and Literacy skills Health and Safety certificates (preferred) Food Safety and Quality certificates (preferred) Strong knowledge of work health and safety with demonstrated experience in previous workplaces Passion for bread and baking with a willingness to continually develop your learning Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment A positive work attitude and professional mannerGoodman Fielder New Zealand is one of the largest branded food manufacturers and suppliers in New Zealand, serving customer needs with a portfolio of iconic, trusted food brands that New Zealanders have grown up with and enjoy every day.
