About the role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children / tamariki, youth / rangatahi, and their family / whānau? We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Te Waipounamu West Coast regional team as a Public Health Nurse.
This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within the team and community partners to deliver high-quality child / adolescent and their whānau services which include health assessments and case load management (mainly for continence). In addition, pre-school and school-based teacher support in the area of health / wellness as well as delivery of the school immunisation programme. You will play a key role in supporting individuals, whānau, and communities to achieve their best possible health and wellbeing.
The Public Health Nurse is a registered nurse and will practice in accordance with the Nursing Council of New Zealand Code of Conduct and competencies for a Registered Nurse.

You can utilise advanced nursing knowledge and skills through reflective practice, critical thinking and professional judgement to provide competent care and advice while working to top of scope.
