Job descriptionOptimize websites for performance, including page speed, Core Web Vitals, and resource efficiency. Implement advanced technical SEO best practices, such as schema markup, meta tags, and clean URLs. Integrate third-party tools, plugins, and APIs to enhance functionality. Debug and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for clients. Implement and maintain secure website practices, including SSL certificates, access controls, and regular updates. Perform thorough testing of websites, including functionality, usability, and performance testing. Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure deliverables meet client requirements and internal standards. Document all testing processes, results, and resolutions for future reference. Maintain detailed and organized project files, including development notes, client specifications, and deliverables. Document all implemented changes, ensuring a clear audit trail for client communication and internal use. Regularly update client websites and manage version control systems (e.g., Git). Work closely with the Web Development Team Lead to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, and digital marketing teams to ensure cohesive project delivery. Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and provide constructive feedback to peers. Communicate technical issues, progress, and updates to stakeholders effectively. Assist in creating technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials for clients and internal teams. Stay updated on emerging web development trends, tools, and frameworks to incorporate innovative solutions into projects. Proactively identify areas for improvement in existing processes, systems, and client projects. Participate in training sessions, workshops, and team discussions to enhance technical and professional skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on web development experience with a portfolio showcasing completed projects. Proven experience working with major CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, HubSpot). Strong understanding of SEO principles and web accessibility standards. Backend technologies : PHP, MySQL, or similar server‑side programming languages. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of API integration tools and techniques (e.g., RESTful APIs). Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix). Proficiency with debugging and testing tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, Postman). Experience with responsive frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS. Knowledge of cloud-based services and hosting platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, cPanel). Strong front-end development and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and techniques. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Proactive approach with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Accountability for meeting deadlines and delivering client satisfaction.
As a Web Developer at The Permalinks, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, user-centric, and SEO-optimized websites and web applications. Duties and Responsibilities
Development Implementation
- Design and develop responsive, mobile-friendly, and SEO-optimized websites using platforms like WordPress , Shopify , Webflow , and HubSpot .
- Convert UI / UX designs into functional front-end web interfaces while maintaining design accuracy and pixel-perfect implementation.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code using modern development standards and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain custom themes, plugins, and functionalities for CMS platforms as needed.
- Support and implement e-commerce functionalities, including shopping carts, payment gateways, and product catalogs.
- Ensure seamless user experiences across various devices and screen resolutions.
