Backend Developer

Overview

Are you a backend developer who loves solving real problems, building clean and scalable systems, and working across modern PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and cloud technologies? This role offers the chance to work in a growing organisation where your work directly influences business operations—from building high‑performing APIs to supporting cloud integrations and improving internal systems. We’re looking for someone who’s confident in backend development but also enjoys variety—happy to jump in and support BAU IT tasks, technical troubleshooting, and user support when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Build, improve, and maintain backend applications using PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and REST APIs.
• Develop and optimise API integrations, ensuring secure and performant data flow across systems.
• Contribute to solution design, troubleshooting, technical consulting, and architecture discussions.
• Work within Docker environments, Git workflows, and CI / CD pipelines.
• Use AWS tools (S3, Lambda, Cognito, Route53, CloudFront, VPC) to support cloud‑enabled solutions.
• Create clear technical documentation, support UAT, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders.
• Provide ad hoc IT support, asset management, and BAU IT assistance across the organisation.
