Senior Track Engineer

As a Senior Track Engineer, you will lead the delivery of complex and high-profile rail projects across New Zealand, acting as a key technical expert in track design and construction.

You'll provide technical leadership to both local and global teams, ensuring innovative and high-quality outcomes throughout all project phases.

You'll also play a pivotal role in winning new work—driving proposals, building client relationships, and supporting business growth in the rail infrastructure sector.

The Opportunity

• Lead geometric and structural track design activities across multidisciplinary brownfield and greenfield rail projects.
• Manage project delivery, including schedules, budgets, and team performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise and design leadership from concept to construction, mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Represent the team in meetings and stakeholder discussions, communicating design solutions and resolving technical challenges.
• Drive work-winning initiatives including scoping, proposal preparation, tender submissions, and client engagement.
