- About the Role
- The Tauranga Hospital Emergency Department (ED) medical specialist team has grown rapidly over the past few years in response to the growth in population and service demand.
We are committed to delivering excellent regional emergency medicine care for the people of the Bay of Plenty.This is a full-time, 13 month fixed term position, starting in March
About the Team / Service / LocationOur ED sees a diverse case mix with approximately 60,000 presentations per annum of which 20% is paediatric.The population of the Western Bay of Plenty is continuing to grow rapidly with high numbers of older adults retiring to the Bay alongside growth in industry and commerce attracting younger people and families to relocate to the region.The department is accredited for 24 months ACEM advanced training and has a strong focus on education and development of the emergency medicine, nursing and allied health workforce.

About youApplicants should possess full MCNZ vocational registration and FACEM or equivalent - or be within 6 months of completion at time of interview.In addition, we welcome applicants to develop or build on their areas of particular interest, such as :
