Trade Orders Team Member - Mitre 10 Mega Dunedin

Overview

Mitre 10 Mega Dunedin is locally owned and operated, with a Trade part of the business that includes Drive Thru operation selling timber and building materials.

This is a full-time role worked Tuesday to Saturday, 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm.

About the Role : Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, you will work with trade and retail customers to fill their building material orders.

This involves picking orders, using a forklift, loading customer orders, and writing up yard dockets.

This is a physical role that covers the retail store drive thru.

You will provide excellent customer service, help solve customer issues, and offer the best advice on the use of building materials.

Health and safety must be a focus, with adherence to company procedures at all times.

We are looking for someone who can engage with customers, assist with their DIY or large-scale projects, and share knowledge effectively.

Responsibilities

Fill customer building material orders by picking items, operating a forklift, loading orders, and recording yard dockets.

Interact with trade and retail customers to provide excellent service and the best advice on building materials.

Maintain focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

Background in timber and building supplies.

Analytical with an eye for detail.

Customer-driven and strives for excellence.

Enjoys selling and interacting with people; down to earth.

Current forklift license (F endorsed) or a full NZ driver licence.

Physically fit.

Loves DIY and sharing knowledge with others.

Health and Safety focused.
