About the role

They are seeking a Project Manager with proven experience leading the delivery of waters infrastructure projects, including pump stations, treatment plants, and water mains.

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial and contractual awareness, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a track record of managing programmes, budgets, and teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and to specification.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and deliver three waters projects including water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure from pre construction through to commissioning.

Lead daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company and client HSE standards.

Manage project budgets, forecasts, and procurement of materials, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers.

Liaise with councils, consultants, and utility providers to maintain strong stakeholder relationships and resolve design or service conflicts.

Oversee quality assurance processes including testing, commissioning, and compliance with Watercare and local authority standards.

Provide technical support on complex installations such as large-diameter pipelines, live connections, pump stations, and bypass systems

Identify and mitigate project risks, maintaining programme performance and achieving key milestones within budget and scope.

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

Proven experience as a managing complex water infrastructure project in NZ

Proficiency with relevant software

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects forward

NZ work rights are essential
