Key Tasks & Responsibilities of Electrician
- Undertake the follow-up of electrical equipment on site.
- Organise electrical activities on site to follow the tag-out process.
- Preventive maintenance on electrical site installation.
- Able to re-route some electrical power supply in case of power failure.
- Check that electrical installations match the drawings & can conduct red line mark-ups of SLD.
- Conduct LOTO as per company requirements
- Plan and execute comprehensive Isolations while adhering to procedures to assess the performance and durability of isolation design.

Plan and execute comprehensive Isolations while adhering to procedures to assess the performance and durability of isolation design.Analyse test isolation designs to improve performance.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical isolation. Continuously explore innovative solutions to challenge isolation problems, striving to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of isolations within systems.Prepare thorough engineering documentation, (Isometric drawings) including design specifications, technical reports, testing procedures, and user manuals.Maintain accurate records of project progress.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical designers, structural engineers, Work Permit Office, and project managers.Effectively communicate technical concepts and collaborate to achieve project goals.Ensure that isolation designs meet quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.Participate in design reviews and quality audits to ensure design integrity.Qualifications & Experience
ConstructSafe Tier 1 TicketTrade / Tertiary qualified in an electrical field (Level 4)NZ registered with current practicing license.Current NZ EWRB licenseMinimum 5 years’ industry experienceEndorsed Electrician with underground mining experience.Understanding of NZ Electricity Act , the NZ Electricity Safety Regulations, the NZ Electrical Codes of PracticeA full clean driver’s licenseAbility to read and understand electrical drawings.Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements relating to regulatory and industry standardsPermit Issuer & Permit Receiver training will be provided on the job for both roles.
