We are seeking a Cook to join our busy team in Te Kauwhata. This is a full-time role (minimum of 30 hours a week, maximum of 45 hours per week).
The Role
Day-to-day work may include, but not be limited to :
Inspect and assess foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness.
Monitor and regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
Season and flavor food during cooking to maintain consistent quality.
Portion and plate food, adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes as required.
Store food safely in temperature-controlled facilities to maintain hygiene standards
Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements and customer requests.
Assist in menu planning and estimate food requirements, as needed.
Mentor, train, and supervise other kitchen staff and apprentices, as required.

A relevant NZ certificate level 4 or higher qualification, or
2 years relevant work experience
