Our Patient Services Department is responsible for the collection of blood samples and handling contained specimens, i.e., human blood, faeces, urine, tissue etc from patients within the community and the hospital. These samples are then processed and tested in our state-of-the-art medical laboratory.

About the role | Mō te tūranga :

Our Patient Services Department is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee to become a valued part of our team. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering 80 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities include :

• The key tasks include blood collection, responsible for handling contained specimens, i.e., human blood, faeces, and tissue, and preparing specimens for transportation.
• Provide professional customer service, and serve as a link between health professionals, their patients, and the laboratory.
