We have an exciting opportunity for permanent full time or part time Radiologists with sub-speciality including Breast Imaging, Paediatrics, Interventional radiology and General body imaging.

We are a supportive department that encourages development of special interests where possible, as well as on-going education. Multi-disciplinary meetings are held weekly with involvement from all specialities allowing for a close collegial working environment.

The team works closely and supports services across the district, including Emergency, inpatient and outpatient services.

The breast imaging Radiologist is part of a dedicated breast service team supported by medical imaging technologists, sonographers, community and administrative teams. The role includes Multi-modality reporting & intervention including Digital Mammography with Tomosynthesis, Ultrasound & Stereotactic biopsy Hook wire localisation & clip placement, triple assessment and weekly MDM meetings.

The majority of paediatrics services are delivered in the recently completed and wonderful new Te Wao Nui – Child Health service and hospital onsite at Wellington Regional Hospital. Our Paediatric Radiologists work across hospitals, and are an important part of the wider diagnostic Radiologist team.

The radiology departments across the district at Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital and Hutt Hospital are training sites for Radiology Registrars, MITs and Sonographers.

Moū – About you

Vocationally registered in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand () FRANZCR or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ Have completed or currently undertaking a fellowship Or would have areas of experience in Radiology specific to : Interventional Radiology procedures, Angiography, CT and US Tier A and B; Plain films, Fluoroscopic and special procedures, Ultrasound, CT and MRI; Breast imaging, diagnostic and intervention or Paediatric imaging On call component Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care Relevant experience and training
