Vehicle Technican

This job is only open for a New Zealander or a New Zealand Resident Visa holder.

HTS Transport Limited is seeking two skilled and reliable Vehicle Technicians to join our team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, including trucks, other machinery and cars, to ensure they are maintained in safe and efficient condition.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in motor vehicles.

Carry out routine servicing such as oil and filter changes, brake inspections, suspension adjustments, and wheel alignments.

Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, steering and fuel systems.

Operate diagnostic equipment and workshop tools to identify and resolve faults.

Test drive and inspect vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.

Maintain accurate records of services and repairs.

Comply with health and safety requirements and keep the workshop clean and safe.

Skills & Requirements

Relevant qualification.

At least 2 years of proven work experience as a Vehicle Mechanic.

Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

A valid driver's licence.

Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.

Hours & Pay

Minimum of 30 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (rostered).
