Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) seeks a head teacher (kaiako) to lead a committed team of kaiako at Comrie Park Kindergarten Whangārei commencing 7 January 2026.
Comrie Park Kindergarten offers a curriculum across the following areas : English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts, Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aotūroa, Well-being / Mana Atua.
Comrie Park Kindergarten has a team of 5 kaiako and a part-time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday catering for 40 children between 2 and 6 years of age. Comrie Park is an Enviroschools kindergarten and are committed to environmental sustainability through the programme that they offer.

Comrie Park Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team. Northland Kindergarten Association adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teacher, and Senior Collective Agreement .
Applicants must hold a recognised NZ ECE qualification, current practicing certificate, and first aid certificate, and be eligible to work in NZ.
