OverviewThe Head of Finance & Strategy is a pivotal senior leadership role, overseeing NZC's finance function day-to-day while driving capital allocation, investment decisions, and major strategic initiatives.

Sitting at the intersection of financial management and organisational strategy, this role is integral to fostering a collaborative, connected approach between finance, strategy, and the wider business.Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer (with executive responsibility for the finance function), and with responsibility for maintaining the integrity of NZC's financial management, the role also leads high-value projects such as the investment fund, joint ventures, commercial partnerships, and corporate development opportunities.

Working in close partnership with the CEO, CSO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board committees, this role plays a pivotal part in driving NZC's long-term growth and sustainability.About YouWe're seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded finance leader who can combine technical excellence with strong leadership presence.

The ideal candidate will bring : CA / CPA (or equivalent) with 7–10+ years' post-qualification experience.Proven track record in senior finance leadership, ideally including exposure to the Big Four, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.Advanced expertise in financial modelling, valuation, corporate finance and investment analysis.Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, compliance requirements, and treasury management.Ability to align financial management with organisational strategy to drive long-term value.Bring creativity and rigour to funding, investment, and partnership opportunities.Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NZ Cricket by leading finance and strategy, unlocking growth, and building transformative partnerships!
