Our School Holiday Program is all about fun activities in a safe and positive environment.

Our team of support workers ensure that all children are catered for and active participation is achieved.RoleAs a Community Support Worker in one of our School Holiday Programmes, you will work as part of a team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with a learning disability can spend time in the holidays.

Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will facilitate meaningful activities and support children to engage in a variety of tasks.These are fixed term contracts of a variety of shifts, covering two consecutive weeks (Monday to Friday 8 : 30am - 3.30pm or 4 : 30pm), which coincide with the school holidays.If you\'re interested in supporting people to develop self-confidence and independence, and live their lives of choice, lives like any other, in their own communities, then we want to hear from you today!

Skills & ExperienceCommitted and passionate for supporting people with disabilities to live great livesAbility to communicate effectively and supportively with your colleagues and the people you supportEmpathy and willingness to support people with their personal cares, such as bathing, dressing and toiletingExcellent, clear, understandable verbal and written English is a pre-requisite to be considered for this roleThe ideal candidate will haveThe commitment to achieve a Community Support Worker Level 3 qualificationExperience supporting people with disabilities and / or challenging behavioursReliability, Commitment, and Passion for working with peopleA full New Zealand driver\'s licenceThe ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word, Internet Explorer, and emailLocation(s) Auckland, North Auckland, Central Auckland, West Auckland, South Auckland, East AucklandExpertise Community Support Worker, Programme Leader
