ROLE SUMMARY

The Silver Ferns Assistant Coach will assist the Silver Ferns Head Coach in developing, implementing and leading a world class programme that prepares the Silver Ferns netball team to consistently be the number 1 ranked team in the world and win both the 2026 Commonwealth Games and the 2027 Netball World Cup.

In addition, they will be the Silver Ferns primary connection point for the ANZ Premiership coaches providing them support and direction to ensure alignment to the national programme and their expectations associated with leading a HP netball environment.

ABOUT YOU :

  • Elite level Coaching experience at International, ANZ Premiership (NZ), Suncorp Super Netball (Australia), Netball Super League (UK) or equivalent level with a proven record of accomplishment.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge of Netball with specific regard to Coaching, High Performance athlete development, planning and performance technology.
  • Proven ability to align to a vision, establish buy-in, execute and drive performance to achieve results.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams and individuals.
  • Excellent media, presentation, and communication skills with the capability of being the primary spokesperson for the team.
  • Strong commitment to professional development of staff and players.
  • Computer literacy relevant to the professional Netball environment e.g. Excel, keynote, HUDL, Sportscode.
  • NNZ Performance Coach Qualification or a similar Netball specific equivalent.
  • Alumni of High-Performance Sport New Zealand Coach Development Programmes or international equivalent.
  • Tertiary qualification in Sports Science, Coaching, Management, or Teaching with Post Graduate preferable.
  • This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the Silver Ferns campaign through to the 2027 Netball World Cup in Australia and work with some of the world's best Netball talent.
