Connect people, spark curiosity, and bring learning to life across Napier. As a Community Engagement Librarian, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our libraries reach and inspire the community — from early literacy and youth programmes to digital inclusion and lifelong learning initiatives. This is a creative, hands‑on role where every day offers something different : running events, building partnerships, and helping people discover new ways to learn, connect, and thrive.
Working across our library network and out in the community — including schools, neighbourhood hubs, and the Mobile Library — you’ll help make our services accessible, welcoming, and relevant for everyone. If you’re passionate about community connection, storytelling, and the power of knowledge to change lives, this is your chance to make a real impact in one of Napier’s most well‑loved community services.
