We are seeking a dedicated assistant learning coordinator to assist our learning support coordinator (SENCO) in delivering learning, behaviour and literacy services to the wider school.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about young people, confident in engaging with parents, whanau, staff and wider agencies, and will enjoy working as part of a team.
This position is a permanent, part-time role and could ideally suit an experienced learning assistant or a trained teacher.
This role is 23 hours per week.
There is also a further 10 hours per week as a learning support learning assistant, working alongside students in the classroom.
Key tasks would include but not limited to :
To assist the learning support coordinator (SENCO) in delivering learning, behaviour and literacy services to the wider school.
Assist the SENCO by completing applications and other processes to support student needs.
Assume responsibility for the SAC process, including completing applications, booking, rollovers, prelims and supporting the SENCO with externals and student teaching.
Assist the SENCO in implementing student support programmes in response to identified student need.
Assist the SENCO in ensuring the transition of students with education needs into the school is monitored and supported.
Develop and maintain professional, positive, supportive and productive relationships with all.
