This is a permanent full-time role working for a New Zealand owned and operated company in the scrap metal industry, you will be working in various sites, with weekly guaranteed hours at least 30 and a gross hourly pay rate between $26.69 and $29.66.In this role you will be part of a successful team, learning all sorts of skills in different construction sites and as part of this team you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality workmanship.Job Duties :

Load and unload vehicles, often using forklifts or other machinery

Sort, stack, and store materials safely and efficiently

Maintain a clean and hazard-free yard and work environment

Receive, check, and dispatch goods accurately

Assist customers and drivers on-site in a friendly and professional manner

Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards and company policies

Perform basic maintenance tasks on tools, or equipment as required

Perform general labouring duties such as lifting, carrying, digging, sweeping, and cleaning

Operate basic tools and machinery under supervision

Experience : At least one year experience in the same industry.

Good physical fitness – able to lift heavy items in outdoors in varying weather.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Must be able to pass a drug test.

Must have a valid driver license, international license is also accepted.
