About the Role

In this role you will handle, supply, store, monitor, receipt and distribute medicines including chemotherapy to clinical areas and patients in a quality, safe, efficient, and professional manner according to legislation, Health & Disability Standards and Standard Operating Procedures. This role is covered by the PSA Allied, Public Health & Technical MECA and the starting salary is $65,842 with automatic annual increases to $79,039.

You'll be joining the Medicines Supply and Logistics team based at Auckland City Hospital who work with Te Toka Tumai Auckland values to welcome, to respect one another, to work together and to always aim high.

Our Pharmacy department is an innovative and exciting place to work. We employ over 100 staff working within two retail pharmacies and a flagship inpatient service. We serve over 1200 inpatient beds. Our guiding principle is to put the patient first in everything we do. About you

As the ideal candidate for this role, you are efficient, focused, detail oriented and enthusiastic in your approach and your values will align with ours. You will be physically fit as there is heavy lifting and pushing of trolleys throughout the day in this role. You will be part of a large, high performing team who all have a common passion, care, and enthusiasm for putting the patient first in everything we do. Hospital or community pharmacy, healthcare, and pharmaceutical warehouse experience and at least 1 year's work experience in NZ will be highly regarded.
