Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join a high-performing team supporting the delivery of a major capital works and transport programme. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring complex projects. You’ll lead end-to-end procurement processes, partner with project managers and technical specialists, and provide trusted advice across a diverse portfolio of high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for major infrastructure, transport, and capital works projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive value and manage risk.
- Provide expert advice on best practice, compliance, and contract management.
- Support tender evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external partners.

You’re an experienced procurement professional who can confidently deliver in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll thrive in a small, agile organisation where you can hit the ground running and see the tangible impact of your work.
You will bring :
Proven experience managing full end-to-end procurement processes in the public or consulting sector.Strong understanding of procurement models, tendering, and contract management (experience with NZ public sector frameworks or NZS 3910 advantageous).A balance of operational capability and strategic insight — able to “do the doing” while understanding the bigger picture.Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.Infrastructure or construction sector experience is desirable, but not essential.Why Apply?
