• About the role
• We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Transport Nurse (RegisteredNurse) to join our Transalpine service.

This role is a critical part ofensuring safe, timely, and effective transfer of patients between Te NikauHospital, Canterbury / Waitaha hospitals, and other regional healthcarefacilities.You will utilise your advanced nursing knowledge andclinical judgement to assess patient needs, provide safe care during transfer,and deliver professional support to patients and their whanau throughout theprocess.

Working in close collaboration with St John, medical teams,coordinators, and ward staff, this role requires a high level of autonomy,professionalism, and clinical expertise.When not undertaking patient transfers, you will alsocontribute to the wider system by supporting clinical areas within your scopeof practice.

Calm under pressure, you will have excellentcommunication skills and the ability to respond effectively in complex andrapidly changing situations.
