Are you ready to shape the future of Generative AI in enterprise environments? Theta is seeking a GenAI Specialist - Lead Consultant and we are looking for a visionary technologist to lead the charge.
This isn't just another tech job. It's a chance to be a founding member of our GenAI Centre of Excellence (CoE), where you'll architect and deliver transformative AI solutions that redefine how businesses operate. You'll work alongside a squad of brilliant minds, collaborate across practices, and engage directly with customers to bring real-world impact through AI.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of GenAI solutions across text, image, and audio modalities
- Build production-ready PoCs and integrate services using modern SDKs / APIs
- Drive best practices in AI safety, performance tuning, and observability
- Take ownership of secure and responsible AI development - including token / secret hygiene, PII protection, content safety, and prompt injection prevention
- Participate in activities and providing pre-sales demos, scope projects, and mentor both clients and consultants
- Contribute to and lead approved R&D initiatives and help shape Theta's AI strategy
What You Bring
Comfortable with tool‑calling / agent frameworks (e.g., Semantic Kernel, LangChain) and evaluation pipelinesProficiency with CI / CD, GitHub, and telemetry-driven optimisationFamiliarity with enterprise Copilot adoption and multimodal AISkilled in fine-tuning API-driven systems to balance performance and cost, using telemetry‑driven insights to guide optimisationAgile mindset with excellent communication and facilitation skillsPassion for continuous improvement and delivering customer valueWe have 30 years of experience as a New Zealand-owned technology consultancy.
